Reproduction of Library Material for individuals
Reproduction is personal to the user and may not be assigned, nor may any image submitted to the user be loaned or transferred to third parties save for the purpose of the exercise by the user of such reproduction.
The user may not reproduce, resell, or permit others to reproduce the photographic copy or any facsimile of it. Additional copies must be purchased from the Royal Dublin Society Library.
Any reproduction granted is by way of license, not sale and no partial or other assignment of copyright shall be implied. The images remain the physical property of the Royal Dublin Society Library and the intellectual property of the Royal Dublin Society Library and copyright holder, if applicable.
Reproduction of Library Material by publication
The reproduction of Royal Dublin Society material by publication (irrespective of the media format), by transmission or broadcast, or for display in a public area, is subject to the permission of the Royal Dublin Society Library and to the payment of the relevant fee.
Permission to reproduce material from the collections must be sought in writing from the Royal Dublin Society Library.
The request for permission should contain the following information:
- The title and library reference of the item being reproduced
- The format of the proposed reproduction
- The print run (if a published work) and
- The area of distribution - EU or Worldwide
If an image is to be used for television, film or electronic media, please supply broadcast details, the title of the programme and the producers.
All reproduced material must carry the acknowledgement "Reproduced courtesy of the Royal Dublin Society Archives" and quote the relevant reference number.
Permission to display, publish or broadcast any item in the Royal Dublin Society's Collections must be sought in writing from:
